Play and learn

On a smart board or projector

• Open this page on the classroom computer and press Full screen. Press Esc to come back.
• Turn the speakers up: most games speak to the children. If there is no sound, tap the game once.
• Read the How to play steps aloud first, or press Hear it.
• Call one child at a time to the board to tap the answer, while the class says the word or number aloud.
• Wait for the voice to finish before the child taps. The game listens only after it has finished speaking.
• Use the green arrow buttons at the bottom of the game to go forward or back, and the round arrow to start again.
• No smart board? A laptop with a projector works the same way. Children can come up and point while you click.

At home, on a phone or tablet

• Sit with your child and play together. Read the steps aloud, then let your child do the tapping.
• Ten minutes at a time is enough for young children. Stop while they are still enjoying it.
• Praise the effort, not only the right answer: “Good counting!”
